A Modern move: Last season’s polo collar makes way for a streamlined neckline. Blue rubber piping printed with ‘Chelsea FC’ Extends from the centre of the neckline to mid-chest.

Body Armour: The different textured panels add 3D definition to the shirt, making it look like the body armour for the blue and White Army when they challenge for the the Premier League title taking on the likes of Liverpool , Manchester United , Arsenal and not to mention the other clubs look to break into the top four.

Adidas has been Chelsea’s official product and kit supplier since 2006. The logo is embroidered on the right breast. This year’s jersey has a tighter, more tailored fit and uses a waffled fabric for improved breath ability and moisture management.

The new Chelsea home jersey is similar in style to the previous jersey. There is a v-neck. The collar is a bit more flat this year than the 2008/09 version. Adidas is still the supplier of the kit and Samsung is still the shirt sponsor. The 3-stripes on the sleeves are split in 2 which is particularly handy for an English team since it allows for placing the Premier League sleeve badges in this empty space. The material is clima cool polyester and the base colour of the jersey is blue.
